It’s difficult to watch a loved one struggle with addiction, and we know that considering outpatient counseling is a big step. At Daybreak Youth Services, our Outpatient program is available to teens between the ages of 12-18 years old. Through one-on-one therapy, group sessions and family education, the program offers:
- The freedom of living at home and attending school while building structure and accountability
- An individually tailored program that focuses on recovery while developing critical life skills and building confidence
- An experienced treatment team of professionals cross-trained in chemical dependency and mental health
- A place where clients and families are supported
WHAT TO EXPECT…
The most successful outpatient counseling includes a custom mix of therapy to meet you and your child where you are in your recovery process. Our holistic, personalized programs are designed to show your teen the path to a bright future and help them develop the skills for lifelong success even after the program is over.
A personal counselor and/or mental health therapist will work one-on-one with your teen to help them understand how to transition into recovery by working through the issues related to recovery and growth. This includes self-esteem, adolescent development and cultural expectations versus individual identity.
Group sessions create an accepting, supportive environment in which your teen will learn effective coping strategies and practice important skills including mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance.
Family participation in therapy has proven to dramatically increase recovery success. We help you rebuild your family and begin on your healing journey through educational courses, counseling sessions and therapeutic group outings as a team.
Daybreak is dedicated to breaking down barriers to treatment for all youth. Our services are covered by most insurance carriers, including Washington State Medicaid. Call today to schedule an assessment.
