She has served on multiple boards in the Vancouver area including free clinics and hospital in addition to volunteering.

“I have a passion for helping the underserved and stigmatized individuals and feel that Daybreak is an exemplary organization,” says Sally.  “They live the mission every day for every client with their healing touch and support.  They provide a hopeful future to our young clients.”

JULIE OLDS, TREASURER

Julie has been practicing law for over 30 years. She graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 1989 and went on to receive her LL.M Taxation Degree from the University of Florida in 1990. She currently practices law in the areas of estate planning, probate, corporate and non-profit law. Julie is actively involved in her community and has served as a member for over 15 organizations and committees including Whitworth University, Women Helping Women, and the Spokane Estate Council Committee. Julie founded Parenting Through Addiction Ministry in 2014 and continues to serve as a member. Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Michael, and their three sons.

VICKI JONES, VICE CHAIR

Vicki Jones joined the Daybreak board in 2017, after retiring from Spokane Schools as a High School Counselor. Her previous work experience in Social Work and Human Resources, and later earning a Master’s in School Counseling from Gonzaga University, were instrumental in counseling teenagers and their families in all areas including mental health and substance use. There she learned to appreciate how adolescent choices and decisions at this impressionable age can have lifelong impact. “We need to give every kid a chance, they’re young and we all fall down and sometimes need help to get back on our feet again. Daybreak provides a path of acceptance and support that is critical for this age group.”

Vicki and her husband enjoy spending time with their three sons, traveling and hanging out at Priest Lake.

TY STOBER

Ty Stober was appointed to the Daybreak Governing Board in 2014. A well known civic leader, he has lived in the Vancouver area for nearly 20 years and is deeply vested in playing an active role in shaping the future of our community through service.

“I have been greatly blessed in my own life and feel it is my responsibility to provide young people opportunities to overcome obstacles and find success,” says Ty. “It is inspiring to hear youth talk about their struggles and the skills they learn at Daybreak to gain control over their addition and mental health issues. I am excited to bring my background in sales, marketing and project management as well as my personal and political connections to help Daybreak succeed as an organization. I want every Daybreak client to understand their strength, self-worth and talents.”

Joe Pauletto

Joe joined the Daybreak Governing Board in September 2021. He is a 40 year resident of Clark County, Wa. After graduating from Oregon State University with a BS degree in Civil Engineering, he worked in the heavy construction industry. His second career has been working with non-profits in Clark County and Portland, Oregon. Being with family and in the outdoors brings him joy.

“I feel that Daybreak Youth Services provides a helping hand to those that want to leave addictions and improve their lives,” says Joe. “The work this organization does is needed now more than ever.”
